MEESHAPULIMALA
Meeshapulimala is the second hightest peak in south India with a Height of 2640 meters above sea level.
It's between Theni district of Tamil Nadu and Idukki district of Kerala. It is located in between the Anaimalai Hills and Palani Hills near Suryanelli around 20 km away from Munnar. The Kolukkumalai tea estate, Top Station and Tipadamala (2135 m) is also nearby.
My Experience :
The above are the general information about this mystically beautiful place. Personally, this Meeshapulimala is like a treasure , for which we need to work a lot. Yes, I said it. We need to take an extremely adventurous ride till KolukkuMalai and from there, hours of walk which can actually help us to burn a lot of calories. I couldn't control my breathe and was so exhausted. I even asked my companions to return to the car and go back home.
But.... Once I reached the top of the mountain to see the sunrise, early in the morning. Well, I became speechless and stunned by seeing the sun rising slowly between the mountains. I have captured the most beautiful pictures of it and here it is one of them.....................
Well, the best time to be on the top of the mountain is early in the morning. Yes, its a little cold for people from places with temperature of 30-35 degree Celsius. But firstly, it's the climate that we fell in love with.
It's tiring and need a lot of energy and determination for people like me to get to the top of the mountain.
❗❗I wouldn't prefer old people with difficulties to try this place. ❗❗
The moment you reach the top, there you are , one step closer to heaven. So high , that the clouds are beneath your feet and the sight is so exciting.
Well, the place is spectacular and enjoyable till the sun starts burning us. So, if you are planing to visit this place in summer. Try to get back before 10:AM . And in winter, well , the thunder and lightning are the tings to be worried about.
The Ride :
I traveled around 200Kms from Ernakulam, Kerala to Meeshapulimala by my motorcycle (Bullet 350).
It took around 5-6 hours after the sightseeing and halts for food and rest.
Great blog.. Its so convincing... You’re doing a great job ,Keep it up.
